The Artist: Lok Jansen
Lok Jansen was born in 1972 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He attended the Delft University of Technology, where he obtained an M.Sc. in Architecture (2002). After receiving a grant from the Japanese government he graduated from the Tokyo Institute of Technology (MSc. 2001).
He works in the area of illustration, visuals, and architecture for such clients as Prada (look books FW2007, SS2008, SS2009, FW2009, SS2010); Premsela Dutch Platform for Design and Fashion (editorial illustration); Jan Jansen Shoes, (concept design and development of the Jan Jansen Atelier Shop); and OMA*AMO/Rem Koolhaas (“Image of Europe Exhibition,” a 62-meter-long panorama illustrating the history of Europe).
Lok Jansen has had his work exhibited in Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai, Zurich and Amsterdam.
He currently lives and works in Tokyo, Japan.
